The field work does not explain itself.
California State Militia, 1st Regiment is a civilian volunteer organization. Members train so families and neighbors can take care of themselves in an emergency — community service, disaster relief, and emergency response. That work only reaches the public if someone keeps the record straight: posts, comments, graphics, and a calm explanation of who we are and what we are not.
We are standing up an admin corps for public relations and social media.
If you can do any of the following, we need you at the desk:
- Write clearly, without slogans
- Keep a posting schedule
- Handle comments without feeding trolls
- Design a simple graphic
- Help press and the public see the work as it actually is
This is volunteer service. It is not a shortcut around training. It is not a political shop.
