A few things we’re great at
Short list of our commitments
Skill Sets development
CSM continues to develop and provide one of the best curricula in Civil Defense, Combat Life Saver, Communications (Ham, Digital), Physical Security and Search and Rescue tactics.
Civil Defense
CSM training covers basic skills essential to know in a disaster when emergency services are unavailable or overwhelmed. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself along with loved ones, and maximize your capability to help for the greatest number of people after a disaster.
Medical
The combat lifesaver is a bridge between self-aid/buddy-aid (first aid) training is given to all members. The combat lifesaver is a non-medical individual who provides lifesaving measures as a secondary mission as his primary mission allows. The combat lifesaver may also assist the medic in providing care and preparing casualties for evacuation when the combat lifesaver has no other duties to perform.
Communications
The effective tactical use of radios among small units. The primary focus is handheld radios. It is band name agnostic. It does not matter if the radios are HAM, CB, FRS, GMRS, MURS, DTR, land mobile, military surplus, public safety, marine VHF, IP-based, or something else altogether. The procedures outlined here will facilitate better radio usage for any radio type.
Physical Security
Security MOS is a defense force for the state and the country.
Provide services to train or supplement government and communities’ official armed forces and law enforcement agencies. Can be invited by private or government entities to provide bodyguards for key staff or protection of company premises, especially in hostile environments.
Search and Rescue
The forces are trained, equipped, and ready to deploy within FEMA’s various response models. When support is requested before an event such as a hurricane, CSM resources are often pre-positioned along with responders to expedite
support following the disaster. Services include but not limited to: — Physical search and rescue in urban and suburban areas;
– Emergency medical care for entrapped survivors;
– Reconnaissance to assess damage and needs and provide feedback to local, state, tribal, territorial, and federal officials;
