| * Blocked Aid to Ukraine: Hungary is blocking EU military aid to Ukraine saying that it is off-budget and using it solely for Ukraine is preventing aid from being delivered to other regions like the Balkans and North Africa. * UK agrees to send additional missiles and attack drones to Ukraine. * U.S. Sec Defense Austin announced that the U.S. would send military assistance to Taiwan. The plan is to use the presidential drawdown authority (PDA) to use active-duty stocks to supply the military assistance package of $500 million worth of weapons and aid. The Debt Ceiling debate and possible default is a huge win for China according to Def Sec Austin, Sec of State Blinken and others. Ukraine currently has $6 billion left of the $48 billion aid package but the White House and lawmakers are weary of a new package becoming part of the Debt Ceiling debate. It is believed that the money for Ukraine will run out sometime in July. * Durham Report: Many on the GOP side are calling for a “Cleaning of house” within the FBI after the scathing report on the FBI’s lack of credibility. The FBI has stated that it made reforms after the investigation but many of the officials involved in Crossfire Hurricane are still employed by the FBI. * New Investment in Rural Energy: President Biden announced a $9.7 billion investment in Green Energy through the Empowering Rural America program. This money will be available to rural energy cooperatives to use in building renewable energy and zero-emission projects. |
