![]() ![]() | * For the first time, the DOJ has approved transferring seized assets of a foreign citizen to be disbursed for a political cause. Seized assets of Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeyev were transferred to the U.S. State Department to be used in rebuilding Ukraine. U.S. Attorney General Garland noted it was the first transfer of forfeited Russian funds but not the last to rebuild Ukraine. This sets a new precedent that could be used against Americans in the future. * Ukraine, Bakhmut: Ukrainian forces routed a brigade-sized Russian military unit on Wednesday during a large counter-attack. Russian units retreated up to 2 km as a result of the counter-attacks according to Russian Colonel General Syrskyi. |

* Debt Ceiling: President Biden is now saying he is considering invoking the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling since he cannot make headway with the GOP proposed solution. * Southern Border: Hours before Title 42 is set to expire, migrants are rushing the southern border. The Border Patrol stopped 11,000 individuals Tuesday which is nearly double the daily average. On Wednesday, Border Patrol Agents were instructed to start emptying out holding facilities by releasing migrants with instructions to appear in an immigration office within 60 days but no way to track them. Thoughts for the day |
“What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.” – Thomas Paine |
Advisory |
– Fire Watch * https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/ -Warnings/ Advisories (NOAA) Warning: A warning is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely. A warning means weather conditions pose a threat to life or property. People in the path of the storm need to take protective action. Advisory: An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely. Advisories are for less serious conditions than warnings, that cause significant inconvenience and if caution is not exercised, could lead to situations that may threaten life or property. Watch: A watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain. It is intended to provide enough lead time so those who need to set their plans in motion can do so. A watch means that hazardous weather is possible. People should have a plan of action in case a storm threatens and they should listen for later information and possible warnings, especially when planning travel or outdoor activities. * Flood Warning: Fresno; Kings; Tulare. * Flood Advisory: Fresno; Madera, Plumas. * Wind Advisory: Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast; Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range. * Heat Advisory: Western Siskiyou County, Bakersfield; Buttonwillow – Lost Hills – I5; Caruthers – San Joaquin – Selma; Coalinga – Avenal; Delano-Wasco-Shafter; Fresno-Clovis; Hanford – Corcoran – Lemoore; Los Banos – Dos Palos; Merced – Madera – Mendota; Planada – Le Grand – Snelling; South End San Joaquin Valley; Southeast San Joaquin Valley; Visalia – Porterville – Reedley; West Side of Fresno and Kings Counties. – Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Air Quality in the South Bay Area is Good. * Sunrise – 0603 hrs.
