| * Oakland, CA: Burglary teams are using an individual dressed as an Amazon Delivery person to scout homes with no one home before a team breaks in. Security cameras recorded the process occurring at multiple residences in the Oakland Hills. One resident was able to scare the criminals away by “Communicating” with them through their doorbell camera. Similar tactics are being used in San Jose but generally as Utility workers’ outfits such as PG&E or Comcast. |  |

  | * Black Sea: [UPDATE] Russia claimed that the Reaper Drone was making sharp maneuvers and lost control and crashed. The U.S. says that the Russian jets were flying dangerously and even fuel dumping on the drone and then collided with the drone. Russia denies that its plane hit the drone and said its pilots were acting professionally. Today, the Pentagon released footage from the drone showing Russian aircraft flying dangerously close to the drone attempting to cover it with fuel. Another video shows the jet coming almost in contact with the drone when the camera goes out and then comes back showing that the propeller has been damaged. Russia is still denying the incident happened this way and is likely not feeling bad about taking out an Intelligence mechanism of a power that is supporting Ukraine. The Russian Navy is attempting to recover the drone wreckage and the U.S. is saying it wiped all sensitive data before the crash. [END UPDATE] A Russian Su-27 collided with an American MQ-9 Reaper drone. The drone landed in the Black Sea and the Su-27 made it to Crimea. The incident happened in international airspace over international waters. Developing Story. * Paris, France: French President Macron has forced through pension reforms that will raise the retirement age from 62 to 64. It would also increase the contributions that French citizens would need to make to the national pension scheme. As well, “special regimes” with different retirement ages and benefits such as rail workers, electricity and gas workers will be eliminated to make everyone the same (equitable). Weeks of protests have occurred as these have been debated and will likely intensify now that Macron has forced the passing without a vote. His administration could face a vote of no confidence next week. * Poland: Authorities are stating that they have broken up a Russian espionage network, arresting a number of those individuals. The stated purpose of the network was to plan sabotage missions inside the country of Poland, mostly against supply lines supporting Ukraine. |
